Landscape photography requires a sound photo-technique, even when using the most sophisticated digital camera. In addition to new techniques, these Photo-soundbites offer traditional photographic advice, techniques that I learnt 50 years ago and just as important today.

Some advice will be better implemented in conjunction with the camera's instruction book.

One-to-one tuition is offered, most cameras catered for. With my wide and invaluable experience running photographic holidays and courses for 24 years, I can distil the essential information on photo-technique tailored to the individual. The following important techniques can be covered to improve image taking:-

1.   First-steps – resolution, storing, deleting and cataloguing
2.   F-stops and shutter-speeds
3.   White balance
4.   Exposure control – metering and compensation
5.   ISO sensitivity
6.   RAW or JPEG
7.   Depth-of-field
8.   Telephoto and wide-angle lenses
9.   Composition
10. Landscapes and architecture
11. Close-up
12. Post-production adjustments with Photoshop and Lightroom

For the experienced photographer I offer landscape and architectural photo-shoots at selected locations in the British Isles.
Prices for tuition commence at £30 per hour, or £125 for the day, plus expenses.
For availability first email Derek Forss stating your requirements and camera.
